These are blackwork ornaments for the back and arms.
It’s tricky to get right, but symmetrical designs centered on the elbow are really striking as a stand-alone piece. These could also work on a knee or shoulder.
This back-piece I’ve designed follows the flow of the body around a central ornament with a mystical feel. I’ve added an optional weathering effect which gives it another layer of depth.
