We put a dramatic hard shadow down the side of the blade to give it a stronger outline, making it more readable from a distance. It will also help it look better as it ages!
It’s important to be aware when you put a straight line on the forearm that it will warp a lot as the arm moves in different positions, but there’s a spot along the bone on the outside of the arm that twists a bit less than the rest.
