I love doing bold blackwork, and this is a perfect example of the really striking effect you can get with it.
This is a first pass, we’ll see how it heals and maybe do a second coat of black to get it really solid
Why does blackwork often need touchups or a second pass? It’s not actually any different to packing colour, it’s just the slightest hint of skin-tone showing through is much more obvious when you’re aiming for solid black.
